Microsoft Access is a popular database programme for small and medium sized businesses. It gives a great deal of flexibility without having to be a programmer and is a fantastic alternative to large and complex Excel workbooks.

 

The key to working with databases is to fully understand the theory behind them. It is essential to spend time on designing a new database so that it works for your business for the long term and allows you to get the required information out quickly and easily.  A database that doesn't 'give up it's secrets' easily is not going to prove productive in the long term.

Skills Based Access Workshops

Intro to Databases

This workshop is aimed at those who have never used Access but who want to understand the concepts and practicalities of building a database.

Concentrating on extracting data from a database using more complex queries. This workshop is aimed at those already working with Access.

Once a database has been created, you don't want someone to accidentally change it. This workshop looks at how you can control database permissions.

Interactive Forms

This workshop looks at creating easy to use forms that capture the data your business needs. It shows the importance of forms to a projects success .

This workshop concentrates on Access Web databases. It looks at the limitations of these and how to save into Office 365 SharePoint.

Creating flexiblity through customisation

We won’t categorise your employees into beginner, intermediate and advanced as we find this restricting. However we will design workshops around the skill sets your employees need to succeed in their current and future roles.

 

An IT Workshop costs from £295 + VAT based on a maximum group size of 8 delegates. Equipment can be provided if required, for an additional charge.

Lorna Rose Lorna has worked in the training arena for over 14 years and is City & Guilds qualified and a member of the CIPD. She has worked in-house for a number of professional service businesses and concentrates on designing, writing and delivering effective, engaging and enjoyable workshops.
