Windows 10 launched in the UK on the 29 July, and since then many businesses and individuals have taken Microsoft up on their free offer for upgrading to the new operating system. There are many new features such as a combined tile / traditional start menu with tile programmes opening in windows rather than opening over the top of every other application you have running. The charms screen from Windows 8 has been replaced with an Action Centre which is much more usable for those of us without touch screen devices. There are also lots of other interesting and fun extra’s such as streaming games from your Xbox One (not that many of us get to play with this at work.)
If you are thinking about upgrading, Microsoft are offering the free upgrade until July 29 2016 as long as you are running a genuine Windows 7 or Windows 8/8.1 device. You will need to reserve your free upgrade, but we think it would be wise to speak to your IT service provider,We work closely with Corbel Solutions , our colleagues Karen or Jane would be happy to assist with any questions on this if you are considering moving to Windows 10. In the first instance, please contact them at email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
As with any upgrade, Green Shoots Learning recommend a brief overview training session to familiarise your employees with the new look and feel and to showcase any specific time saving or cost saving features that are now available. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are looking at upgrading and want to find out more about how Windows 10 can help you become more efficient and effective.
Don’t forget the free upgrade is only available for 12 months!
