We're thrilled to announce that lapwing, who spoke at our july Claydon Networking event, are taking their Disability in the Workplace workshop on the road.
There are around 650 million people in the world that have disabilities, yet most people have little understanding of them . That’s why we’re thrilled to promote a new Disability Awareness Workshop created and delivered by the local charity, Lapwing.
Lapwing provides individual learning programmes for young people who have complex barriers to learning and now they want to offer the chance for people in the workplace to gain a better insight into the issues people with disabilities face.
The 1st half day workshop is taking place on the 21 October at Claydon Court. The specially designed session explores attitudes to and understanding of disability, both at work and in everyday life. The workshop will be an enlightening and positive experience for everyone involved, leading to greater empathy in the workplace. To find out more about the workshop and to book your place contact Jo Shevlin on 01473 621762 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
