What is the real cost of conflict in the workplace?

January 8, 2018

With the Christmas party season done and dusted for another year, how are things in your office?  As much as we like to think we've got the right people on board; including the right employees, suppliers, contractors etc, conflict can happen at any time to anyone.

It doesn't take much for people to end up in conflict, whether it was something silly someone said at the Christmas party or a new year's promotion that didn't go a certain way.  Once a fire starts it spreads quickly and can soon have a huge impact on staff morale, working relationships, stress and in really difficult situations can lead to people leaving their jobs or an unwanted employment tribunal claim.

Conflict Management is something we as people are not naturally good, they are "difficult conversation" that we often try and avoid, but it is a vital skill for so many of the roles we employee e.g. managers, quantity surveyors, account managers, sales people, team leaders, the list is long.

Start 2018 by improving your skills in this area by joining us for our ‘effective conflict management’ session this January.

Join us at All Saints Hotel Fornham St. Genevieve, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, IP28 6JQ on Tuesday the 23 January.

The course will run from 10am to 4pm, and I promise you’ll walk away with all the knowledge you need to resolve the toughest disputes, as well as being well looked after throughout the day. Places are strictly limited to 8 delegates and are filling up fast, so make sure you book today.

Learn the vital skills that will keep your business safe, tribunal-free and relationships strong for years to come.

Your trainer will be Dan Cocksedge - an experienced conflict management trainer who has worked in busy call-centre environments where conflict management is a vital skill for supervisors and team leaders.

An interactive session with an emphasis on you and your business.

In the morning,

  • You’ll discuss the different preference types people have and how these differences can cause conflict.

  • We’ll then look at their potential impact on your business.

  • From here, you will spend time learning to match the right responses to the right preference types – considering their personality types, whilst remembering that everyone is an individual and should be treated that way.

In the afternoon;

  • Work on a proactive strategy that you can implement in your own business,

  • Be shown how to improve communication and questioning skills to nip potential problems in the bud.

All this for just £195 + VAT per delegate!  Book now, before we’re full.
